Facebook and Instagram ads for salons and spas

A salon is packed on Saturdays and in the week before every festival, then quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Bridal work brings the biggest bills, and brides book months ahead. One ad can fill the slow weekday slots with a fixed-price offer, and another can put your bridal looks in front of women planning a wedding this season.

Who you’re trying to reach

Regular clients come for a haircut, threading, a facial or hair colour, and they rarely go far, so most live or work within a few kilometres. Bridal clients shop differently. They compare makeup artists on Instagram, ask for a trial, and often book the family too, with looks for the mehendi, haldi and reception and for the bride’s mother and sisters. Spas also draw couples and office workers who want a massage at the end of a long week.

What to put in the ad

A weekday package at one price

Haircut with wash and blow-dry, or a clean-up with threading and a pedicure, at one price from Monday to Thursday. People book more easily when they know the bill before they walk in.

Bridal and pre-bridal

Photos of brides you have done, used with their permission, and "bridal trials available". A pre-bridal package that runs over the weeks before the wedding deserves its own ad, because that booking comes even earlier.

Men’s grooming

Plenty of salons leave men out of their ads. Haircut and beard styling, a facial for men, or a groom package before the wedding each have a clear buyer.

Lead form or WhatsApp

We’d start with a WhatsApp ad. Most salon bookings are a short chat about the service, the day and the time. On WhatsApp, clients can send a photo of the cut or the makeup look they want, which saves time at the chair. For bridal enquiries, where you want to call, talk through the dates and give a package price, use a lead form ad.

How WhatsApp ads work

Who should see it

Everyday services draw from close by, so 2 to 5 km around the salon is enough in most cities. Bridal makeup can cover the whole city and nearby towns, since brides travel for an artist they like. Set gender to women for bridal and beauty offers, men for a grooming offer, and leave it open for unisex salons and spas. An age range of 20 to 45 covers most clients.

Questions

Can the ad use photos of my clients?

Yes, if they have agreed. Ask brides after the event and keep the message where they say yes. Real work from your own chair is what people want to see before they book.

How early should bridal ads start?

Two to three months before the dates you want to fill. Brides fix their makeup artist well before the wedding, so an ad running in August and September helps you book November to February.

Do I need a WhatsApp Business number?

Only for a click-to-WhatsApp ad, and it has to be linked to your Facebook Page. Without one, a lead form ad asks for the client’s name and phone number, and you call or WhatsApp them from the Leads tab.

What is the cheapest salon marketing that still works?

Photos of real work, posted often, cost nothing and build trust. When weekday chairs sit empty, add a paid ad for one package to women within a few kilometres, and count the bookings it brings.
