Facebook and Instagram ads for appliance stores

People don’t buy a fridge or an AC on a whim. They think about it for a week or two, ask around, and then visit two or three shops. An ad that reaches them in that week, with your price and your exchange offer, puts your store on the short list before they leave home.

Who you’re trying to reach

Most of your buyers are families replacing something old or setting up a new home: a couple after the wedding, a family moving into a new flat, parents buying a bigger TV before a cricket season. Summer brings the AC and cooler buyers, who often want installation within a day or two. Small offices, clinics and shops buy ACs and water purifiers too, and they usually ask for a quote first.

What to put in the ad

Summer AC and cooler offer

Put the tonnage, the star rating and the installed price in the ad, along with how soon you can fit it. In April and May a buyer with a hot bedroom cares about the installation date as much as the price.

Exchange your old appliance

If you take old fridges, TVs or washing machines in exchange, say so plainly with a photo of the new model. Many families delay buying because they don’t know what to do with the old one.

Diwali and Dhanteras stock

Show the models you have in stock for the festival weeks, with the price and your store hours. Buyers like to know the piece is there before they make the trip, so a short "in stock now" line helps.

Lead form or WhatsApp

We’d start with a lead form ad. An appliance sale usually needs a call: which model fits the room, whether the old one can be exchanged, when the technician can come. A lead form gives you the name and number to call back. If your staff are quick on WhatsApp and you sell mostly smaller items, a WhatsApp ad works as well.

How lead form ads work

Who should see it

Most people buy large appliances within a short drive of home, because delivery and service matter. A 5 to 10 km area around the store is a good start. Set the age range around 25 to 55, since the buyer is usually the person paying the household bills, and keep both genders in, as the decision is often made together.

Busy times to plan for

  • Summer, from March to May, for ACs, coolers and fridges
  • Navratri, Dussehra, Dhanteras and Diwali
  • Onam in Kerala and Durga Puja in West Bengal and the east
  • Wedding season, when families buy appliances as gifts or for a new home
  • Big cricket tournaments, for TVs

Questions

Can the ad show a specific model and price?

Yes. A clear model and price brings fewer but more serious enquiries. If prices change often, you can show a starting price and ask people to message for the latest one.

When should a summer AC ad start?

Start a little before the heat sets in where you are, around March in most of north and central India. Once the hottest weeks arrive, installers get booked out, so early buyers are worth reaching first.

Can I run ads for a single brand I sell?

You can show the products you stock. Check with the brand before using its logo or campaign images in your own ad, as many brands have rules for dealers.

How do I advertise an electronics shop against online sellers?

Say what the websites can’t offer: same-day delivery, installation by your own technician and an exchange value for the old fridge or AC. Show it to homes near the store just before summer and Diwali.
